If your blog has been rejected, before you begin to write your Congressman or before you launch an email rebuttal to our editors demanding an explaination as to why your blog was removed, please read the following criteria and ask yourself if your blog really deserves to be rejected.

What is a blog ?

A blog is a weblog, sort of a personal diary or journal which includes *writing* from an author or a group of authors.

1.) If your blog is nothing but pictures of celebrities, cars, soccer players with little or no written content, you’re blog is rejected.
2.) If your blog is nothing but links to rapidshare or other downloads, your blog is rejected.
3.) If you type your blog’s url into http://www.copyscape.com and more than 10 results come back, you’re stealing content and your blog is rejected.

Up until this week, all new entries into the directory were edited by software which looked for certain keywords to reject blogs automatically. As of this week, we now have built a professional blog review software to allow our editors to hand edit each and every blog that is submitted. Thanks to all the sploggers and spammers for lighting a fire under our programming staff to getthis done.

If you see previously listed blogs that violate the TOS still in the directory, we are working through over 4000 entries one by one, so instead of crying about “why was my free wallpaper blog rejected but there’s other free wallpaper blogs in the directory”, we have setup the following thread to report blogs that violate the TOS :
