We’ve been receiving quite a few emails from bloggers concerning their blogs being removed from the directory. While we understand the frustration of these bloggers, the one thing we will never understand is why people who refuse to follow rules and/or guidelines and attempt to cheat the system are often the biggest crybabies when things don’t go their way.

It’s clearly stated in the BlogRateDirectory Guidelines that “Photoblogs” are not permitted. The reason why we do not allow blogs such as “Sexy Asian Girls” that contains no content except pictures copied from somewhere else and with no content except the photos is because we believe blogging is about creating original content, not stealing content and claiming it as your own to attempt to make money from it. Additionally, the vast majority of these blogs get a higher number of hits than legitimate blogs that people work hard to produce and it’s not fair that people who just click and copy and image and paste it into their blog should deserve credit in the blogosphere.

In case anybody has any doubt, here are the Guidelines all bloggers have agreed to when they submitted their blogs :

Please Note: We do not accept blogs containing the following content:

• Photo Blogs or MP3 without original content
• Pornographic or adult only materials
• Excessive profanity and/or obscene content
• Hacking, Cracking, Warez
• Pitated content - ie: movies, music, software
• Blogs that promote illegal activities
• Racially insensitive, homophobic or misogynist ideals
• Blogs containing copyrighted materials
• Blogs focused on Agloco or Pyramid scheme MLM
• Blogs focused on hyip, autosurf or ponzi schemes

Considering the fact that BlogRateDirectory is operating virtually non-profit and our operating costs are far more than we make from the affiliate ads we circulate on the site, it is quite annoying to have to answer somebody why their blog was deleted from the directory when they didn’t even bother to read the guidelines before submitting it.
